Three rides worth doing
All of these start wherever we drop the bikes off, and none of them involve a hill worth complaining about. The Tweed Coast cycleway does most of the work.
Kingscliff to Cabarita via Salt Village
Shaded beachside cycleway almost the whole way, running between the busy end at Cabarita and Kingscliff, through Salt Village and Casuarina.
Roughly an hour each way, longer if you stop
Cabarita to Hastings Point via Norries Headland
Two headlands in one short ride. The best views on this stretch of coast, and whales going past all winter.
Roughly 40 minutes each way, plus however long you stand and look
Cabarita to Pottsville
The southern run, all the way to the end of the Tweed Coast. Flat, quiet, and further than it looks on a map.
Roughly an hour each way
What to take
- Water. More than you think, especially between November and March.
- The lock we give you, so you can leave the bikes and go for a swim.
- A hat for when you're off the bike. The helmet only helps while you're on it.
- Enough cash or a card for coffee, which is the actual reason for most of these rides.
The basket on the front takes a towel, a bag and a couple of bottles without any trouble. That's what it's there for.
Bikes for any of these
Send us your dates and where you're staying. We'll drop the bikes at your door and collect them when you've had enough.
